TENNIS FALL 2009
Sports on the Hill tennis has expanded and offers a tennis program for adults in addition to small kids.
The small kids program is at Payne School, corner of 15th x C St. SE. Facilites are a tennis court and a hitting practice wall.
- Dates: Sundays Sept. 20, 27, Oct. 4, 18, 25, and Nov. 1.
- Little Shots Tennis (Ages 4-6) - A fun introduction through engaging games and activities. This program uses equipment of the appropiate size size to introduce small kids to the game of tennis. Fee $50. Maximum 8 kids.
- 1 - 150pm (SORRY - FULL)
- 150 - 240pm (SORRY - FULL)
- Futures Tennis (Ages 7-8) - Gets kids playing tennis right away when equipment and program scaled to their size. This program emphasizes the basic fundamentals. Fee $60. Maximum 8 kids.
- Noon - 1pm (SORRY - FULL)
- 11am - Noon (SORRY - FULL)

- Adult beginners (Age 20+) Never played, really rusty, or never had instruction? Join a small group for quality professional instruction. 315 - 415 PM. Fee $70. Maximum 8 adults. (SORRY - FULL).

The instructor is Eric Legg, a Capitol Hill resident and a United States Tennis Professional (USPTA) certified teaching pro. He has been teaching tennis for over 15 years from beginners to advanced tournament players, and from 4 year olds to senior adults. He currently oversees the Arlington County tennis program, is on the United States Tennis Association (USTA) National committee on Tennis in Public Parks, and has been published on tennis topics in Parks & Recreation Business magazine.
He has also been a volunteer coach and referee for all youth ages for several years with the Capitol Hill Basketball program of Sports on the Hill.
