Soccer is open to children 3 to 18 years old. We play 2 outdoor seasons, Fall and Spring.  The Fall season runs from early September to mid-November.  The Spring season runs from late March to mid-June.  We also have an indoor soccer season in the Winter.  Indoor soccer is played on Saturdays in January and February

 

In the event of rain, or standing water on the field, games may be canceled.  Call the SOTH hotline at 202-544-5385 after 8 a.m. on Saturdays if you are uncertain about the status of a game.

 

Soccer on the Hill has a policy regarding players wanting to play in an age bracket higher than their age on the age date of July 31.  Click here to see the policy.

Soccer for U5 and U6 and house league games for U8 coed and girls, U10 coed and girls, and U13 starts April 5 and ends June 7 except for May 24.

SFL teams games start April 12 and will be posted on the SFL website.

If you registered for the fall, you are registered for this spring as well. New players may register here and join.

Age Divisions - House League Teams

 

(Teams that play other SOTH teams for all games)

 

Under 5 (U5) and Under 4 (U4)
U5 is for boys and girls 4 years old on July 31, 2007 (age as of the preceding July 31) and will meet from 9:00 to 10:00am on Saturdays at Providence Park (aka X Park).

U4 is for boys and girls 3 years old on July 31, 2007 (age as of the preceding July 31) and will meet from 10:10 to 11:00am on Saturdays at Providence Park(aka X Park).

Not all kids of these ages are ready for soccer related, organized group activities.  If in doubt, bring your child for a test session.  If he/she is not ready, please drop back to the next season.  These activities require ALL parents to be assistant coaches, so please plan to help.

Kids are divided into small coed and girls instructional groups for soccer exercises and drills.  The U5/U4 Commissioner is Philip Brady 202-546-4377 or philip.brady.soccer@gmail.com

Under 6 (U6)
Coed children 5 years old on the preceding July 31. U6s meet on Saturdays at Watkins ES field from 9:00 to 10:15am. They are divided into small coed and girls instructional groups for soccer drills and small-sided scrimmages. U6 Commissioner is Patrick Coyne 202-547-1776 or patrick.coyne@finnegan.com

Under 8 (U8) Coed
Coed children 6-7 years old (age as of the preceding July 31). Teams are formed and house league games are played Saturday mornings at Tyler Field. Practices are two evenings a week at Capitol Hill fields. Players are assigned to teams by the U8 Coed Commissioner: Rob Geist 202-386-2828 or rcgeist@yahoo.com.

Under 8 (U8) Girls

Girls 6-7 years old (age as of the preceding July 31). Teams are formed and house league games are played Saturday mornings at Kingsman Field. Practices are two evenings a week at Capitol Hill fields. Players are assigned to teams by the U8 Girls Commissioner: Sean Morris 202-546 0923 or smorrisdc@gmail.com. 

 

Under 10 (U10)
Coed children 8-9 years old (age as of preceding July 31). Girls and coed teams are offered. Practices are two evenings per week at Providence (X) Park and house league games are Saturday mornings at Anacostia Park. U10 Commissioner: Krister Holladay 202-544-2653 krister1078@aol.com 

Under 13 (U13)

(Games are usually Saturdays)

Under 12 -14 (U12 & U14)
Practices are two evenings a week at fields around Capitol Hill. Home games are at Anacostia or Kenilworth Parks and away games in Northern VA. Under 16 –19 (U16 & U19)
